Willis Permian Movers, Inc., was awarded 2020 Bekins Agent of the Year Thursday night at Bekins Van Lines’ virtual Van Line Summit & Awards Gala. The award is given to the top interstate agent for Bekins Van Lines that exemplifies putting customers first and the characteristics of quality, professionalism, empathy for customers, fellow agents, drivers and van line employees.

Background of 2020 Bekins Agent of the Year

Willis Permian Movers was started by John Jerome Willis, Jr., in 1973 to serve the relocation needs of the Odessa, Texas community. From the beginning, Mr. Willis focused on building his business and reputation by providing the highest level of customer service. Mr. Willis understood that moving is often a stressful undertaking for people, and he did everything he could to put people at ease during their moving experience.  
 
John Jerome Willis, III continued his father’s legacy and expanded the business in the 1990s. Willis Permian Movers acquired Admiral Moving and Storage (El Paso, Texas) and Corpus Christi Transfer (Corpus Christi, Texas). The most recent expansion was in 2009 with John’s nephew, Tucker Briscoe, opening Willis Permian Movers in Austin, Texas. 
 
Willis Permian continues to build on their original foundation – “to excel in meeting our customer’s needs with personalized service.” 

Previous Awards

Willis Permian Movers, Inc., which has four locations in Texas, earned the Agent of the Month distinction in September 2019 (the first month of eligibility for 2020 Agent of the Year). Other recent awards include the 2020 Silver Hauling award and the 2020 Bronze Sales award.
