The Country Picker was founded in 1974 as an antique business that specialized in estate sales and appraisals, which eventually led to expansion into the moving and storage industry. Husband-and-wife team Phil Leblanc and Cathy Nealon purchased the company in 2007 and shortly after acquired another well-known moving company in the area.

The Country Picker is well known in the Conway, N.H. area for removing and donating furniture items in good condition to local non-profit groups, such as Habitat for Humanity, Agape Center, Humane Shelter as well as local religious and outreach groups. In addition to delivering donated furniture, The Country Picker provides manpower to handle logistics of local food drives held by the Knights of Columbus, and a large Christmas gift program called Angels and Elves.
